Lana was born March 1, 1946 in Santa Monica, California. She has Russian ancestry and her original name is Svetlana Nikolaevna Zakharenko. She played in movies already in 1950’s but she had to wait for her biggest breakthrough until early 1970’s. She posed braless for men’s magazines and played hot main characters in movies such as Diamonds Are Forever and Speedtrap. Wood was married and divorced four times.
